The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu confirmed to all the passing away of his beloved mother, who died since the 30th of August, 2019 in Germany. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wrote, "Today I announce the passing of my mother Ugoeze Sally Nmeme Kanu. May Chukwu Okike Abiama grant her eternal rest." Ugoeze Kanu took ill on the 14th of September, 2017 on the day her husband's palace was invaded and about 28 Biafrans killed by the Nigerian Army on Operation Python 2. The lifeless bodies of Biafrans littered across the palace and in surrounding bushes traumatized and got her ill leading to her sudden demise in Germany.
