The government of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador all of central america have failed to curtail or stop the mass caravan of their citizens (migrants) making it up to Mexico from where they hope to cross over legally, illegally or seek asylum in the United States of America.


Donald Trump venting off his anger and disappointment towards these Central American governments took to his official tweeter handle to say the following:
"Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador were not able to do the job of stopping people from leaving their country and coming illegally to the U.S. We will now begin cutting off, or substantially reducing, the massive foreign aid routinely given to them."


The number of migrants in the caravan is growing, about 5,000 already with so many suffering of sore feet. Government officials and Police of Tapachula, Southern Mexico have tried to stop them, and even offered a bus to convey the injured migrants to a nearby hospital who bluntly rejected it and opted to walk to the health centers to receive medical aid all for fear of been deported back to their respective countries. Despite Mexican efforts to stop them at the Guatemala-Mexico border, about 5,000 Central American migrants resumed their advance toward the U.S. border on Sunday 21st, 2018 in southern Mexico.

The three countries received a combined more than $500 million in funding from the U.S. in fiscal year 2017. Still the living conditions in these countries is deteriorating and is a major reason among others while the citizens are  fleeing to USA.
Is poor governance the reason for this mass migration?
Would Donald Trump cutting aid to these central american countries solve this mass migration problem without correcting the poor governance at home in those countries?
If the governments of these Central American Countries can live up to the expectations of the citizens, and deliver quality governance to the citizens, there would be zero need for the citizens to migrate to USA.


Poor governance the root of this mass migration and sufferings!
